Volunteer at UCVHThe Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital Volunteer Program was implemented in April of 2003.  The program serves to provide assistance with patient and family reception, as well as directions to hospital departments, assistance with projects in hospital departments, switchboard functions, inpatient diversion activities, general public questions about services, etc.

The Volunteers serve as an integral part of the hospital team as they often provide reassurance and comfort to those patients and families waiting for results or who are waiting to be treated in our Urgent Care Clinic or Emergency Department.  One Volunteer eloquently stated, “I enjoy my volunteer work at UCVH as I feel my time and skills are being recycled and I love it.”   Volunteers are honored annually in the spring at a recognition dinner to acknowledge their contributions and dedication.  Members of the community who have in interest in volunteering are encouraged to call our Volunteer Director at 603-388-4292.
